manipulate with no stacking experi- enced before the shot breaks. Over- all, the SIG P250 trigger is an asset with its consistency. Anyone who dedicates the time to become famil- iarized with it won’t be disappoint- ed. The same can be said of most triggers found on serious defensive handguns on the market whether it be 1911-style weapons or other high- capacity polymer competitors. A conversation with George Harris, Director of SIG SAUER Academy, about trigger finger and eye coor- dination gives a better appreciation of what the DAO trigger offers in a defensive handgun. The SIG P250’s DOA is very manageable and aids

in “smooth is fast, fast is smooth” shooting techniques.

Simple Design The fire-control chassis aids in re-

ducing the number of parts in the SIG P250. The chassis contains the trigger mechanism, hammer and slide catch- es. The slide assembly doesn’t interact with the grip module, but is guided/ operates along the chassis integral steel rails located on both sides of the chassis front and rear. The fire-control chassis is easy to swap between grip modules without requiring any tools. Rotate the takedown lever and re- move the slide. Remove the takedown lever by turning and pulling simulta-

neously. This frees the fire control for removal by pulling/pushing it upward while drawing the hammer backward allowing for the trigger to move into a position for it to move from the trigger housing. You are done. Reinsert into another grip module in the reverse or- der of direction. The SIG SAUER op- erating manual details this in only two pages most of which is large graphics. The SIG P250 Full Size weighs

29.4 oz without magazine and mea- sures 8.1" in length, 5.5" tall and 1.4" in width with a barrel length of 4.7". For comparison’s sake, the Subcom- pact weighs 24.9 oz sans magazine and measures 6.7" in length, 4.7" tall, and 1.4" in width, with a barrel length
