G2E PREVIEW

Novomatic in Las Vegas – gaming stars on the red carpet

The Europe-based gaming giants explain what they’re bringing to the big show in 2010…≥

L

as Vegas in November has, in recent years, been the calendar slot for G2E: the major event for the US gaming market and an important showcase for the international gaming industry.

This year, the three-day event takes place from November 16 to 18 at the show’s traditional site, Las Vegas Convention Centre (LVCC), but this will be the last G2E to be held at this venue and on a November date. For at least three years, beginning in 2011, the show will be hosted by the Sands Exhibition Center and move to a more diary- friendly October date. On booth number 2258 at LVCC visitors will be invited to find out all about the latest Novomatic gaming stars as a great range of innovations and top- performing products for the international markets will be presented.

The Novomatic product presentation at G2E will encompass a selection of the most popular international games, cabinets and solutions. Apart from the renowned high quality slots and multiplayer product range Novomatic will also present sophisticated Octavian jackpots and systems.

On the red carpet at the Novomatic booth

visitors will find top star cabinets such as the NOVOSTAR SL2 and the Super-V+ Gaminator with the latest Coolfire II multi-game mixes. With up to 27 games per multi-game mix, up to seven player-selectable denominations, multi-language options as well as a great choice of high/low line-games (5 to 40 lines selectable) these multi-game mixes offer maximum flexibility for the operator and guests alike. Currently there are more than

45 different mixes available – and with frequent new game releases the choice is constantly growing, offering a huge variety of mixes for international gaming operations.

A further attraction in Las Vegas will be the Ultimate 10 multi- game mixes A-G: this new and growing range of multi-game mixes

is based on the new Coolfire I+ gaming platform and is available in the popular Gaminator cabinet. The Coolfire I+ platform combines the benefits of Coolfire II technology with the cost effective price structure of the former Coolfire I platform; thus offering tremendous benefits for the more cost- conscious customer segment.

Novomatic will also display a comprehensive

multiplayer installation comprising Novo Multi- Roulette, Novo TouchBet Baccarat, Novo Flying Black Jack as well as Novo Flying 3- Card Poker and Novo Flying Carribean Poker - all in one system and all available on each of the linked individual player stations. This multiplayer multi-game functionality adds maximum comfort and convenience for the guest and maximum flexibility for the operator. Running on the server based Novo Unity II multiplayer platform it allows casinos to link any chosen number of terminals to different games such as Roulette, Baccarat, Poker and Black Jack to make all those games available at every single player station. Thus the guest can flexibly switch from one game to another via fingertip touch, without having to leave his favourite seat.

The product

presentation will be complemented by a selection of Octavian

equipment that represents part of the assets that Novomatic acquired from the international gaming supplier earlier this year: products such as Casino Management Systems that will be exhibited in a comprehensive show installation connecting the machines on display. Also cash handling systems will be demonstrated at the Novomatic booth such as cashless and TITO. With the proprietary jackpot system P-Box AGI will

showcase the brand new jackpot theme ‘Fredy Fortuna’ which has been developed through the close cooperation of Octavian South America and AGI.

Also on show in Las Vegas will be the brand new lottery game Six Ball. This chronological lottery game provides new gaming thrills for sportsbetting outlets and streetmarket venues in selected jurisdictions. Six Ball is an animated betting game based on random number generated draws. It is a fixed odds betting game where 35 numbers are randomly drawn out of 49. The aim of the game is to have six matching numbers with the least amount of numbers drawn. The quicker the customer gets all six numbers on a card correct, the more he will win.

Bets are placed on mark sense slip and paid for over the counter. A bar coded receipt is issued showing bet type, odds, stake, and draw number. Guests on booth number 2258 at G2E Las Vegas will be the first to try and test this brand new and innovative betting attraction.

Jens Halle, Managing Director AGI concluded: “We are relieved that this year’s G2E will be the last one to take

place in November and we are pleased that future shows have been scheduled for early October. Nonetheless, we will be showing the largest product portfolio ever in Las Vegas– from slots to multiplayer products and systems, which now represent a whole new business unit for AGI. I am positive that our customers will be impressed by this comprehensive offering of products and solutions.”
