Etihad introduces A330F to Hong Kong
HAVING taken delivery of its first A330-200 freighter in the summer, Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Crystal Cargo, the air freight wing of UAE flag-carrier Etihad Airways, has chosen to employ it on a twice- weekly connection toHong Kong. Launched on 13 October, the
route represents the freight carrier’s fourth all-cargo service to China; Etihad Crystal Cargo also flies to Beijing, Shanghai andGuangzhou. According to Roy Kinnear, senior vice
president of Etihad Crystal Cargo, Hong Kong is “an important strategic addition to our freight network”. He went on: “Hong Kong is the world’s
second-busiest cargo hub, giving us huge growth potential and a strengthened

product to offer our global key accounts. “We look forward to reinforcing trade ties
between China and the UAE through this newcargo route,”Kinnear said. Etihad Crystal Cargo said the freighter
would offer a 60-tonne payload on the non- stop service.
CATHAY PACIFIC is to exercise the purchase options it has with Boeing on six more B777-300ER (Extended Range) aircraft. The Hong Kong-based carrier said it expects the new equipment to be delivered in 2013 and 2014.
