1 Martin Murray has been appointed Google’s head of agency channel for the UK and Ireland. In this role, he will lead the Google sales team to support media, creative and digital agencies in the delivery of online mar- keting solutions to their clients. Most recently managing director of Radical, part of Publicis Groupe Media, Murray founded and was managing director of online marketing agency Interactive Return for 10 years, hav- ing previously worked with Ericsson and Eircom. In 2008 Interactive Return was acquired by Publicis Groupe Media. Murray holds amaster’s in industrial engineering from University College Dublin, a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from Dublin Institute of Technology and is a chartered member of Engineers Ireland.

2 Mairéad Ní Nuadháin has been promoted to the position of deputy director of TV programmes at RTÉ Television, following a public competition.Ní Nuadháin will play a key role in the origina- tion, management and delivery of RTÉ’s home-produced programmes, both in-house and commissioned. She will also become a member of the programme strategy group. Ní Nuadháin has been commissioning editor of Irish language, multiculture and education since 2001 and has commissioned a broad range of programmes in the areas of literacy, disability, multiculture, Irish language and education. Shewas a foundermember of the Druid Theatre Company and a board mem- ber of Macnas. She began her television career as a presenter on the nightly Irish lan- guage current affairs show Cúrsaí, and went on to become a producer before taking up her commissioning role.

3 Teresa Hagan has been appointed vice-president of digital publishing at global education compa- ny, HoughtonMifflin Harcourt (HMH). In her new position, she is responsible for the design and development of all HMH’s digital content programmes for all devices and platforms. Before joining HMH in July 2008 as vice- president of instructional design, Hagan workedwith Riverdeep. Prior to this, she held senior leadership positions at educational


software and games publishing company, Vivendi Universal. She also worked as a pri- mary school teacher for over 10 years. Hagan holds a BEd (hons) degree from St Patrick’s College of Education, Drumcondra, a master’s in educational leadership from UCD, and is currently pursuing a PhD in edu- cational leadership at DCU.


4 Jimmy Kehoe has been appointed director of sales and marketing for ICT solutions at Datapac. In this position he will be responsible for the company’s national sales, business development and marketing strategies. He will report directly to David Kirby, general manager of Datapac, and will work closely with the seniormanagement teamto develop and execute Datapac's business develop- ment strategies. With 15 years experience in the ICT industry, Kehoe has considerable experience in senior management roles, and has developed strategic relationships with global vendors. He rejoins Datapac from VMware, where he was Irish partner manag- er for almost three years. Prior to this, he spent 12 years at Datapac in various senior management roles including virtualisation solutions manager.


5 MTV Networks UK and Ireland (MTVN UK) has announced the appointment of Vanessa Brookman as vice-president, programming. Brookman joins the network in November from her current role at the BBC, where she is head of fiction and children for the corpo- ration's commercial agency. In her new posi- tion, she will be tasked with determining both the strategy and direction of the MTVN UK channel portfolio, developing and executing strong and competitive schedules across the entertainment channels, as well as taking responsibility for all commissioning and acquisitions. In addition, she will play an inte- gral role in the senior management team and will work closely with a number of depart- ment heads to maximise each channel's potential.


6 Siobhán Lavery has been appointed managing director of digital communications agency, ICAN.
