Paul Langham, Managing Director, leads a
customer focused team who have a wealth of knowledge and expertise gained from manag- ing and operating within the public and pri- vate sectors engaged in public service local authority contracts.
Paul believes that the unique mix of the GPL
team whose previous experience gained in transport, engineering and sales functions provides them with an understanding of the demand and pressures faced by their customers and in today’s climate allows them to develop innovative fleet solutions which in turn provides GPL with a real competitive edge.
GPL is structured into four main trading divi- sions each providing national coverage in their respective disciplines of:- Contract hire with maintenance, short term rental, operated road sweeping and plant hire. The combined service network operates from 20 centres coupled with mobile engineers, providing an enviable cover- age and enables the company to deliver a cus- tomer service second to none.
With investment of over £20 million in two
years on new vehicles and plant to support the success of winning new long term contracts and by adding 70 new vehicles to the short term rental fleet over the last 12 months has signifi- cantly increased its share of the market.
GPL has invested in a range of new products in
response to customer demand and renewed vehicles in order to maintain a high profile modern fleet with improved fuel economy and lower emissions.

The short term rental division have recently
