What makes your store unique? We’re the first Grainger Games store in the North West, which makes us a new presence on the High Street around here. Lots of people have been coming in and saying that we’re cheaper than

everywhere else in Oldham, so our prices definitely make us unique in this area.
What is the biggest challenge you face this year? With us being new to the North West, the public don’t know the brand yet. But the customers like our friendly, relaxed atmosphere in-store and some of our unique services. We can order stock from other Grainger Games stores for them, and that has been very popular.
What do you think will be the biggest selling game of Q4 and why? Call of Duty: Black Ops. Activision has a massive fanbase that is very loyal to this series and it is great at creating hype leading up to the release. Personally, I’m more of a Haloperson and I am excited that Reachis finally here.
Can motion controllers Move and Kinect reinvigorate the retail market? I think they can as the price points seem right for how fantastic they are. However,
I’d like to see titles aimed at gamers, not just the casual market.
What do you think about the upcoming VAT increase to 20 per cent? Well, we all saw it coming. However I think people will continue to shop at Grainger Games where they get the best value for money on the High Street.
