New jobs for Gary Sims, Joanne Fawell and Neil Handa Laura West joins Champion Communications team by Christopher Dring
SOME HIGHLY regarded and popular names in games marketing and PR have taken up new roles. Activision’s senior brand manager Gary Sims – who has worked on Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk and Blur, has left the publisher to join toy specialist Hasbro. In his new role Sims will be working on Transformers and Marvel products.
“I am really excited with this new role and looking forward to working with some of my favourite brands from my youth,” commented Sims. Also leaving the games industry this week is Neil Handa, who has moved from his most recent position as head of marketing at Gem Distribution to become marketing manager at Apple distributor Computers Unlimited.
