THE Great Hotels Organisation (GHO) has launched a new website for meeting and event planners designed to showcase and find appropriate facilities offered by the group's portfolio of four and five-star properties around the world. Each of GHO’s member hotels belonging to the Meetings & Incentive Travel Collection are presented on the website with a detailed description of the hotel, meeting space, unique selling points, incentive attractions, maps and further relevant information. The website also features information on special MICE offers and details of upcoming events, including Great Hotels Meeting Forums, road shows, trade shows and networking events. Users of the website can also access GHO's Meeting & Incentive Travel Collection e-book, as well as submitting a request for

...IS THE new identity for the campaign previously known as National Meetings & Events Week. The new initiative has been launched to raise awareness of the annual £22billion contribution that the meetings and events industry makes to the UK economy every year. Britain for Events 2010 will feature a series of activities designed to show how the industry has overcome the tough economic climate to support 530,000 jobs both directly and indirectly. The project was launched by the events industry under the stewardship of VisitBritain and will feature several months of activities culminating in a focus week from 18th-25th October.
