THE BUSINESS TRAVEL MAGAZINE I 39 The Review ➔ base2Stay opens in Liverpool

BASE2STAY has opened a multi- million pound hotel development in the centre of Liverpool’s historic RopeWalks district. It is the group's second property following its successful launch in London. The group differentiates itself by doing away with bars and on-site dining facilities and instead fitting kitchenettes in each guestroom and offering exclusive discounts at nearby restaurants and bars. The new property is located

close to the Liverpool One shopping district and is set in a former printworks. The building has undergone a £14million redevelopment to transform it into a 106-room, four-star hotel. Many of the building’s original heritage features have been retained and incorporated into the hotel's contemporary interior design, including the original roof timbers which are believed to come from 18th century ships. Rooms vary from 'Super Singles'
