NEDA CONFERENCE PREVIEW

Spread the word

There are some serious benefits to joining NEDA, not least the opportunity to network with industry leaders throughout the supply chain network

Membership in NEDA gives a company pull throughout the industry. This not- for-profit organization is dedicated to enhancing the distributor/manufacturer relationship and supports its members by addressing issues on a national and international level that affect the entire supply chain. Members-only task forces and roundtables, for example, have resulted in cost-saving guidelines and effective solutions to pressing industry problems. At events such as the NEDA executive conference, members have exclusive access to the thought-leaders of authorized electronic distribution and the electronics industry as a whole.

One of the most valuable benefits of membership is the

opportunity to network with industry peers. Participation in NEDA sponsored events brings you face-to-face with a who’s who of authorized electronic distribution.

NEDA’s conferences offer an in-depth look at the industry and

are geared not only toward education, but also to fostering relationships through the supply chain network. Each conference offers personal access to industry experts, ample time to discuss important issues and critical networking opportunities.

Participation on a NEDA task force or roundtable enables

members to collaborate on issues affecting all aspects of the industry. The groups provide a unique forum to discuss non- competitive channel issues where standardization and uniformity can benefit the electronic distribution industry.

Other initiatives include the industry advocacy campaign, 8 | September 2010

which makes clear to suppliers, customers and the investment community, the real benefits of supplier authorized distribution. The eye-catching advertising reminds readers of the trade

publications to fight the threat of counterfeit product and only buy from an authorized source.

NEDA also works to identify industry trends, then provides

members with valuable information and data specific to electronic distribution. Its proprietary studies are packed full of industry statistics that are not available anywhere else.

The NEDA Education Foundation is NEDA’s educational arm,

designed to spread the word about the industry. It has developed a number of programs that expose college students to electronic distribution and give members access to young talent with an interest and educational background in the industry.

In effect, NEDA speaks for hundreds of companies who are

involved in supplier authorized distribution, who care about keeping up with industry trends and statistics, who value their employees and who know that speaking as one on important issues is good for the industry and for themselves.
