Speaker roster:


Dave Anderson is an executive advisor with the sales practice at the Corporate Executive Board, a company with themission of increasing the effectiveness of executives and their enterprises. In his presentation, Anderson will unpack the findings of a large scale study and identify three skills that differentiate high performing sales people fromthe average and discuss the implications for recruiting, training and coaching.


Francois Calvarin is CEO of Souriau, a leading supplier to the military and aerospacemarkets. Calvarin will speak about his vision of global world economy trends and their impact on these specializedmarkets. He will also share insight on the future of electronic content in both arenas.


Glenn Derene is the senior technology editor at PopularMechanics magazine and as such, has covered consumer electronics, cyber- security and the culture of technology formore than fifteen years. Derenewill discuss the 'era of pervasive computing' and a futurewhere intelligence is embedded in everythingwe use.


John Engel, president and CEO ofWesco International, will address the nature and trends of the overlap between the electrical and electronic componentmarkets and the ways in which electrical distributors, likeWesco and their subsidiary companies, are responding.


Robin B. Gray, Jr., NEDA executive vice president will talk about the industry issues the association is tackling as well as the impendingmerger with the Electronics Components Association.

The company monitors the status of the industry value chain and tracks industry performance to provide accurate forecast information. Stephen Kaufman is the senior lecturer of business administration at the Harvard Business School and the retired chairman


and chief executive officer of ArrowElectronics.With his unique perspective of over 25 years in the electronics industry, Stevewill explore the differences in the challenges facing electronics industry executives in the second decade of the 21st century comparedwith those faced by his generation in the last decades of the 20th century.


Dr. F. Barry Lawrence is the Leonard and Valerie Bruce endowed chair professor in industrial distribution program, programdirector of the industrial distribution program, the Thomas and Joan Read Center and the supply chain systems laboratory at Texas A&M University. Dr. Lawrence will talk about the council for research on distributor best practices – a unique collaboration of 20 distributors fromvarious lines of trade, working together to develop practical methodologies and tools to improve effectiveness of their sales and marketing strategies.
