The interface combines an RJ-45 connector with integrated gigabit
magnetics and an embedded PoE Plus controller board to offer a current capacity up to 600mA per port.
Additional features include surge-protectionwith single voltage feeding,
a lowchannel resistance and a compact, EMI-optimised and thermal design. The complete product line offers fully integrated, PoE Plus-enabled and standard 10/100/1000 solutions in compatible footprints.
Applications include switches/routers/hubs, wireless access points,
network cameras, video/IP telephone, point-of-sale terminals and thin client computers.

Same connector, speedier assembly
Harting's Han 3A industrial connector insert is now available with the company's Quick Lock field- installable termination technology, designed to offer speedy assembly in the field without special tools.
The Han 3A Quick Lock incorporates three power contacts plus
protective earth (PE) for voltages of 230 and 400V and currents of up to 10A. This makes it suitable as an interface for supplying mains power to smaller units. The new version is plug- compatible with existing Han 3A versions, and can be combined with all Han 3A series housings.

Hypertac has introduced an EMI filtering and transient protection facility at its London manufacturing site. Focused on savingweight, space and cost, the newfacility enables customers froma range ofmarkets to protect their equipment, both internal and external, against EMI/RFI and transient energy spikes by combining filtering components and electronic protection deviceswithin its connectors and interface solutions.
Incorporating EMI filters and transient
protection deviceswithin the connector eliminates extra components and PCB assemblies, reducing the BOM,while enhancing reliability and performance due to reducedwiring and lower component count.
