JO FOLEY is a renowned author and journalist as well as our World of Spas editor, having previously edited Woman, Options and other magazines. She travels worldwide in search of the latest spa, resort and beauty news and always reports back of blissful hideaways for our readers to enjoy.
GARY BUCHANAN is arguably the doyen of British cruise writers, a specialist for some 20 years and a connoisseur of all things maritime. He writes regularly for The Times and The Telegraph and is author of three books on QE2.
PETER NEWALL has been in the travel industry since 1974 but has been visiting ships for more than 45 years. He is a well-known writer and author of fi ve highly acclaimed books, including the histories of Union-Castle Line and Orient Line.
ANNA SELBY has been travelling all her life – and living everywhere from Tibet to Polynesia. She has written for most of the British broadsheet newspapers, as well as numerous magazines, and is the author of 21 books.
PETER RUSHTON is an ex-Union Castle Line offi cer who has served in all manner of ships under the House Flag of the British & Commonwealth Group. Today, he still devotes his working life to the cruise industry, specialising in lecture programmes for many lines.
STEVE NEWMAN is a former school-teacher who gave it all up to become a travel writer and photographer. He now provides illustrated features to a variety of newspapers and magazines. His fi rst love is the unspoilt island of Menorca which he visits regularly.
PETSA KAFFENS is a freelance fashion, beauty and travel writer, fashion editor of Black Hair magazine and contributor to Beauty, Live Well, Health & Fitness and You & Your Wedding. She has also written three books on beauty.

GUY MANSELL, a renowned journalist, lecturer and author of many guidebooks, is unique in fl ushing out stories many mainstream writers have yet to discover. He travels widely for new experiences and, in this issue, takes us to the Brahmaputra River in India.
SUSAN VENESS writes for a wide variety of sources, from magazines to travel guides and the Internet, and is the author of several books, both with husband Simon and in her own right. Her cruise writing stretches from Alaska to the Mediterranean.
ANTHONY NICHOLAS is a freelance writer who contributes to the likes of The Independent and Scotsman. He grew up with a love of such great liners as Olympic, Bremen and Normandie and has made almost 100 cruises and crossings to date.
ANDREW MACLEAR started working with a camera when he was 16. From there he moved to documen- tary fi lm making and latterly to screen and TV writing, working in England and the USA developing and formating drama series. Photography remains his primary interest.
MICHAEL DEFREITAS, a Vancouver-based writer and photographer, has been cruising for more than 20 years. His award-winning stories and photos appear in the likes of National Geographic Traveler, Geographical, Islands, New York Post and Voyageur.
