Itineraries: Nomads offers regular 7-day sailings from Puerto Montt from Nov-Mar, plus special 4-day ‘Tasting Chile’ cruises with internationally-renowned chefs. The routes and activities vary according to sea and weather conditions but include helicopter tours, Zodiac excursions and light hiking.

What to pack: windproof/waterproof jacket and trousers, 220volt/L-socket (3-pin) plug converter, binoculars, camera, long and short-sleeve shirts, water repellant hat for sun protection, warm hat and gloves, swimsuit, waterproof hiking boots, dry bag for boat excursions, medium weight gloves for boat excursions, Polarised sunglasses, medium to heavy weight socks, 30SPF or higher sun-block (the ozone layer is thin here, hence sunburn is common), lip balm with sun-block, bug repellant. Avoid blue clothing in January, as fl ies active during this time are attracted to blue. What to wear: soft-soled slippers or thick socks for lounge/dining room; yachting soled shoes for on deck (can also wear slippers or socks). Dress code is casual, comfortable. Many guests dress ‘resort casual’ for dinner.
