John Deere has beaten


thirteen other tractor makers to return the highest overall score in dealer feedback from the first ever BAGMA dealer satisfaction survey. BAGMA say the survey sets out to gain a nationwide assessment of the performances of tractor manufacturers, in a number of categories, by grading performance in specific areas into five levels of satisfaction. A total of 53 tick-box questions answered provide the data that will reveal the standing of each of the manufacturers in the eyes of their dealers.


RHS in talks over Bradford site


The site for the Westfield shopping centre is mothballed, and the City of Bradford Metropolitan Borough Council is considering plans to turn it into a temporary green space. Developers have lodged a planning application for creating the urban garden on the building site, and proposals include a sensory garden, an undulating landform and wildflowers.


Calls for 10% increase in tree canopy


Charity Trees for Cities is calling on all political parties to increase urban tree canopy by 10% over the next 40 years.It points out that canopy cover benefits cities by filtering the air and providing shade. It also notes that tree cover can promote healthy lifestyles and lower crime levels by creating more welcoming streets, which encourage walking and cycling and discourage antisocial behaviour.

Get behind the England Team and ‘Recycling on the Go’


Linpac Environmental is


providing Local Authorities with an opportunity to promote the DEFRA ‘Recycling on the Go’ initiative and at the same time get behind the England Team during the World Cup. They are producing eleven


special TWIN BIN recycling bins in the distinctive, red and white, England colours. The idea is that these, limited edition TWINBINS, will be placed in prominent High Street locations during the World Cup to encourage the public, and educate younger age groups, to recycle their waste.


Local


Authorities wanting to get involved are asked to simply enter a draw where eleven winners will each receive one of the England TWINBINS in time for the opening match against USA on Saturday, 12th June.
