Mang Stainless Art
Making fantasy a reality
CALIFORNIAN artist William C. Mang is hoping to enlighten and entertain the masses with his innovative stainless steel fantasy sculptures. Mang began his creative career in 1990
when he started building casual art forms from everyday building materials for popular Halloween decorations, before transitioning from casual art to fine art through the technique of welding. Mang, who is often influenced by the Gothic Era,
is passionate in creating fantasy art to a large scale. “Ackary,” which was created from stainless steel, bronze, copper, brass and tempered metals, represents the misconception that gargoyles are evil when in fact in medieval times they were created to ward off evil. Mang has been commissioned to build
from computer generated art, illustrated art or from models reproduced from photographs. Mang Stainless Art can also be used as prototypes for graphic artists and fabricators, static figures for decoration or simply to enjoy at home or work.
