are scattered on the tables throughout the lounge and spa encouraging
you to unwind and have fun.
A one-of-a-kind chandelier is the focal point of the area, handcraft-
ed with more than 300 vintage wine glasses. Rahav worked with Lon-
don-based lifestyle guru Abigail Ahern to find the unique accessories
seen throughout the spa. Ahern introduced Rahav to John Harrington,
a U.K. designer who creates these chandeliers from vintage, cut glass
wine glasses. Rahav’s intention here was to remind guests to celebrate
life with a glass of champagne.
Rahav wanted to create a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere where
guests are not only welcomed, but encouraged to spend the day. In
addition to the seating in the Eau Zone, bench seats and chaises are
strategically placed throughout the hallways, making it easy for indi-
viduals or groups to find a place to rest.

in the Eau Zone and leads you back to your private treatment villa for
your chosen massage. There are 19 private treatment villas as well
as three couples villas, many with private outdoor spaces. Each villa
features white damask wallpaper, white and silver furnishings and sil-
ver accents. The color scheme, Rahav calls it “Ice,” provides a chic,
sophisticated palette on which to build a total sensory experience.
The mood you picked when you started your journey is achieved
through light therapy — LED lighting that sheds soft, glowing light
on the walls: blues for relaxation (pause), reds for those wishing to
energize (play) and gold-tones for those seeking balance (perfect). A
custom play list of music created by a famous Miami DJ accompanies
each mood along with a custom blend of aromatherapy oils.

head for the 2,000-square-foot bath lounge to soak in the whirlpool,
which features color-changing lights under the water, a ceiling-to-
floor cascading shower and rubber duckies of varying sizes.
The bath lounges, reminiscent of Turkish Baths, where the men dis-
cussed business and women congregated to socialize, feature a large
whirlpool in the center surrounded by heated loungers, a sauna and
steam rooms. Hues of blue and green are seen in the mosaic tile and
large wire birdcages that accent the room. Rahav’s goal with the de-
sign of the lounges, and the entire spa, was to incorporate elements
from different cultures and adapt them to the Palm Beach lifestyle
rather than forcing a different culture. She adds, “Palm Beach people
want a fun, intelligent and decadent experience with lively music.”

sauna. There are even water guns in the men’s bathroom area to induce
a little childlike behavior.
All dried off, you head outside to the Self-Centered Garden. You
recline in one of the hanging chairs suspended above an ankle-deep
pool of water while you reflect on your morning at the spa.
