Magda ali is a young woman of
steely ambition. at just 21 she has
finished an editorial internship
with the financial times, been
head-hunted by Vault Publishing to
work in business reporting and was
selected to be part of the Young
Muslim advisory group; meeting
with cabinet ministers ed Balls and
hazel Blears to discuss solutions to
problems faced by young Muslims
in Britain.
Yet, this is just the beginning
for Magda – her thirst for
knowledge and passion has her
describing journalism as a craft
she believes in – writing not
because she can, but because she
has to.
Born in somalia, Magda is part-
italian but was raised in London;
a cosmopolitan background which
gives her insight into different
communities, an insight she uses
in her writing, especially her
blogs, for Magda is a self professed,
ardent blogger.
this New Year sees her off to
Zanzibar for 3 months, and then
she begins her Masters in human
Rights. Look out for her website in
the New Year.
