A Focus on the Liberal Arts
•
Eastern’s liberal arts education prepares you for a lifetime of inquiry, discovery and
responsible citizenship. The liberal arts core curriculum uses innovative and interdisciplinary
courses to expose you to a broad range of academic disciplines while developing valuable skills
in critical thinking, communication, collaboration and independent research.
•
The cornerstone of the liberal arts core curriculum is the First-Year Program, in which you will
work closely with other students and your professors — learning together, making new
friends, sharpening your mind and expanding your view of the world!
•
Eastern graduates are prepared to make informed choices and solve problems, ready to be
responsible members of their communities and successful in their professional lives.
