Biden’s BRAIN

Joe

Can He Really Govern?

DEMOCRATS NEED CANDIDATE WITH VIGOR, NEW IDEAS Being president is physically and mentally demanding. It’s painfully clear that Joe Biden has neither the physical nor mental stamina to do the job. Democrats need to start facing reality. Vigor, youth, new ideas, morality, and commitment to righting our wayward nation are the only paths to victory. Not sentimentally clinging to 1960s holdovers like Biden. (“Joe

Biden’s Brain,” February)

TWO-TIERED JUSTICE President Biden launched his reelection centerpiece on fear that former President Trump will destroy democracy. Biden claimed there was “no question” that Jan. 6, 2021, was an “insurrection.” The hyperbole he used about Jan. 6 — “insurrection,” “worse than 9/11,” and “darkest day in America” — is ridiculous. Insurrections are armed and

violent. The Capitol protesters were unarmed and the vast majority were peaceful. They didn’t burn or loot, and some strolled with Capitol police officers. Yet, after three years of the largest FBI operation in history, there have been over 1,200 arrests with over 460 incarcerated for up to 150 months, according to DOJ statistics. Contrast this with the 2020 summer

riots. Many of those resulting charges were dismissed, despite rioters ransacking and burning businesses and police stations and destroying livelihoods.

NO TRUST What happened to Congress not passing a budget unless the border was debated? We can’t trust any of them, except Reps. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and James Comer, R-Ky. — and former President Donald

Trump. (“Key Democrats Flip on Border Crisis,” February) rick despres Freedom, N.H.

ORDER ON BORDER Young Americans have been killed by fentanyl and women have been kidnapped into sexual slavery by drug cartels. Americans deserve law and order. Democrats are destroying America. (“Biden’s Weak Policies Make World More Unstable in 2024,” January) carol galvin Boston, Mass.

The wall that President Donald Trump started construction on along our southern border is not just a physical barrier but a symbol of immigration control. It tells migrants that you are not welcome to come in illegally and uncontrolled. Plus, the high price the illegals are paying to drug cartels and “coyotes” isn’t worth the risk. The media fails to understand the voters’ No. 1 consideration: “It’s the wall, stupid.” (“Biden Backs Down on Border,” November 2023) charles lopresto Phoenix, Ariz.

NAPOLEONIC LAW? Americans are supposedly innocent until proven guilty. Or are we? Donald Trump is being tried, but in a way

making him guilty before given a chance to prove his innocence. That is Napoleonic law. Democrats want to turn this nation into the same style of dictatorship. It’s now time for Texas to secede from the Union. It’s time to break this nation into smaller countries and thus be done with the U.S. If you give the Democrats a chance, they will accomplish tyranny. christopher gulyas San Diego, Calif.

PRAYERS FOR ISRAEL I applaud Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for doing what he believes is best for Israel. With all our prayers, he’ll make it. I just wish we had a president who would fight over the border for us. Joe Biden is really not for the United States. And Netanyahu does not need to listen to Biden’s puppets telling Israel’s leader what to do. Just look at what those puppets are doing to us right here at home. mary ann cleveland Alexander City, Ala.

UNFAIR ADVANTAGE In response to “Terrifying Cost of Illegal Immigration” by Steve Malanga (January), I can hardly believe what I read. Cities have expanded access for illegal immigrants to social programs like Medicaid, deeming it “humane.” I worked all my life — until 70 years of age. I’m an amputee and have no more than $1,500 in assets. So, I ask, where is justice and fairness for the citizens who work and pay taxes? We have an incompetent bunch running this country down.

SAVING POSTAL SERVICE? Like constantly hearing about how Social Security will go bankrupt before we know it, the same old worn-out, repetitive song about the demise of the Postal Service has been played ad nauseam for decades. Yet, the USPS is
