Food Fest Guide
The Welsh Vegan Festival Tramshed, Cardiff, Sun 7 Aug
Times, many food festivals and markets in Wales have been on-off – or totally absent. But 2022 is the year to get back out, have a nose around some food stalls, peruse some fine crafts and rub shoulders with a celebrity chef or two. From weekend festivals to weekly markets, here’s where to go for food outdoors this year. words John Evans
Great British Food Festival
This all-vegan festival will host an array of stalls serving world foods and drinks as well as selling funky clothing, accessories and bags. Campaign stalls and special guest speakers will also be featured to talk about their work, along with educational documentaries about how our food and clothes have an impact on our environment, health and animal welfare. Organisers will be raising money at the event, too, all proceeds going to supporting local businesses and the Farplace Animal Rescue charity.
