A major year of reorganisation at Picture Shop’s UK arm. The Farm brand was phased out in early summer by overall owner Streamland Media with its picture division now part of Picture Shop and its sound arm now in Formosa Group and vfx wing part of Ghost VFX. Technicolor Post was also acquired in 2021 and, says Picture Shop, “we have successfully integrated the global real estate footprint, facilities, and world class talent roster into Picture Shop and the Streamland Media network. This expands Picture Shop’s reach across North America, Canada and Europe and allows us to have a fully connected global network to collaborate

In terms of its project highlights of the year, Framestore picks out its face swapping work on the Kiyan Prince Project film as well as its epic spot for the launch of Paramount+. Along the way there was also the delivery of Avengers Campus Content for Disney Theme Parks. TV work included His Dark Materials season 3 and 1899 and it was once again the main vfx vendor for series five of The Crown. Over in features, it produced “consistent high quality feature VFX” on movies including Dr Stange in the Muliverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, Elvis, The Matrix Resurrections, Spiderman: No Way Home and there was an Oscar nomination for No Time to
