diverse and under-represented backgrounds to enter the industry,” says The Mill. “We have developed our relationships with industry partners who help identify new talent.” Many companies now have mentoring schemes with others making sure vacancies are posted to open job boards to guard against the “it’s not what you know…” nature of job hunting in the screen sector. All of this could result in the


industry just being ‘better’. As Coffee & TV says, “there has been a real awakening within the industry with more consideration for people and our planet. As a certified B Corp, we have committed to do better, manage our impact on the environment, and inspire other businesses to do the same. There is still so much to be done but we can now see an encouraging shift and mindset change.”
