Kicking off a new membership scheme
Last season MK Dons Women play in the third tier of women’s football, participat- ing in National League Southern Premier Division. With a development team that plays beneath the firsts, MK Dons has a pathway from girls from seven all the way through to the senior side. Last season, the MK Don Women first team were on course for their
highest ever league placing before the season was declared null and void. Last season also saw the club reach the semi-final of the National League Cup as well as the County Cup Final. Te development team also reached the semi-final of the Reserve League Cup. MK Dons Women was only team to play at the same venue as the
men’s team in professional football. Being able to play at Stadium MK saw record attendances for the league broken with an average of 850 people attending fixtures.
Season ahead MK Dons have utilised the time over lockdown to reflect and make much needed changes to support the further development of the wom- en’s team. Te support shown by businesses who want to play a role in the development of female sport is vital.
It is hoped that the season will be up and running by the middle of September. Updates on the women’s team can be found at
mkdons.com and at the twitter handle @MKDonsFCWomen.
