Boxing Day


Join the scores of locals who gather to see one of Abergavenny’s long-standing Christmas traditions - the horses and hounds of the Monmouthshire Hunt meet outside the Angel Hotel at 11.00am, as they have done each Boxing Day for over 80 years. Hot drinks, including mulled wine, will be available from our stall at the front of the hotel.


Lunch in the Oak Room and Wedgewood Room


We are serving a special luncheon menu in the Oak Room and Wedgewood Room on Boxing Day. Reserve a table for up to eight guests between 12 noon and 2.30pm.

For groups of eight or more guests, Boxing Day Lunch can be enjoyed in The Cellar, The Brecon Room or The Ballroom. Perfect for bringing the whole family together at Christmas.


Foxhunter Bar


If time is limited, have a light lunch in the Foxhunter Bar, where a range of hot sandwiches and chips are available from 12 noon to 3.00pm.
