Your Pregnancy Skin Care Journey 0-3 Months Pregnant

Every woman is different and every baby grows at a different pace so many women don’t notice much of a change in their body in the first trimester whereas others notice something immediately. We would recommend every mother-to-be starts with an Anti Stretch Mark Cream or Oil, using it liberally at least once a day all over your body (stomach, hips, bottom, bust, arms and thighs). This a great way to keep the skin moisturised, improve skin elasticity and help keep stretch marks at bay.

3-6 Months Pregnant

Every mother-to-be will notice a big difference in the second trimester. Your bump starts showing, your breasts often increase in size, you may notice changes to your skin, resulting in mild acne or you may have incredibly dry skin all related to the hormones your body is producing. Your baby will also be taking much of the goodness you are consuming, so naturally your own body suffers the consequences. Maintaining your current stretch mark care regime is key. Introducing a facial spritz like Rejuvenating Facial Spritz, when the tiredness kicks in is also a great help. Drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated and consuming your 5 a day quota of fruit and veggies is essential. Incorporating a relaxing bath at the end of your day to soothe the muscles and release tension, is definitely at the top of our list.

6-9 Months Pregnant

In your third trimester your body is retaining the most fluid and the weight of the baby may have an effect on your muscles/back and in turn your sleep. A cooling leg and foot spray such as Revitalising Leg and Foot Spray, will help relieve water retention, a handbag essential. It’s great for travelling and soothing on that commute home from work. Continued top to toe Anti Stretch Mark Cream or Oil application is a must, and you could also think about using a massage oil such as Mother & Baby Oil to help with an achy back at the end of a busy day.
