New electric dumpster for JCB


JCB has introduced an electric version of the HTD-5 Dumpster tracked carrier, adding to its growing range of fully electric E-Tech models. The HTD-5e E-Dumpster is offered as a high-tip model capable of carrying up to 500kg.


The addition of an electric drive makes the machine suitable for urban and indoor applications that require low noise and zero exhaust emissions. Key features include


a 48v lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack, a 9kW electric motor delivering travel speeds up to 3km/h, a two-hour charging time, zero emissions at point of use and 1,450mm skip ground clearance in tipping position.

ZERO EMISSIONS 100% ELECTRIC JCB has done much in the development of fully electric construction machinery. It has


already introduced the 19C-1E electric mini excavator and the 30-19E Teletruk telescopic forklift. In addition, the company offers a wide range of electrically-powered access platforms, while its Power Products division has launched a line of electric powerpacks to provide recharging facilities for electric machinery in off-grid applications.


Source UK makes Genie investment


Powered access and tool hire specialist, Source UK, has invested in Genie material lifts supplied by Access Platform Sales. The Milton Keyes-based company selected the Genie Superlift Advantage 15 in view of its


versatility, as Source UK Director Steve Ottewill explains: “We are always guided by customer demand and our customers like Genie material lifts. They're good quality machines and easy to use. The Genie SLA 15 covers a lot of bases for our customers, which include ducting installers and construction contractors.” The Genie SLA 15 weighs 151kg and has a maximum load capacity of 363kg. It is set up


without tools, has a maximum lifting height of 4.98m, and minimal dimensions mean it is easily guided through narrow doorways. Linda Betts, major
