Phoenix becomes Ammann dealer
Ammann has selected Phoenix Plant Hire & Sales as the distributor of its equipment throughout Wales. This this is the first year that Ammann has awarded a territorial dealership in the UK. With six depots, a seventh apparently in the
planning and over 80 trained staff, Phoenix is now the largest independent hire company Wales, and will offer a comprehensive range of Ammann’s compaction and plant machinery products going forward.
Access Hire Nationwide expands fleet
Access Hire Nationwide is growing its mounted access fleet with the addition of 25 VTL135-F platforms to be mounted to 3.5 tonne Iveco Daily 35S trucks. Manufactured by Versalift UK, the VTL135-F incorporates a profiled boom
structure manufactured from ultra-high strength steel that gives exceptional rigidity. When mounted onto the Iveco Daily 35S, platforms have a working height of 13.5m, an outreach of 8.4m and 200kg of spare payload after driver, passenger and fuel. Other standard features include zero tail swing, load moment control, undermounted buckets and an LCD display providing additional information to operators. A subsidiary of Kelling Group, Access Hire Nationwide specialises in the hire of
vehicle-mounted access platforms and other specialist vehicles. Stephen Moore, CFO at Kelling Group said: “The platforms will be supplied to a number of our existing and new clients in the core infrastructure sectors of power, telecoms and street lighting. Our investment in the VTL135-Fs for this quarter is part of our ongoing annual investment plan to ensure we continue to provide the most modern, largest and youngest fleet in the market to our clients.”
