EXECUTIVE NEWS

MEGAWATT MILESTONE ACHIEVED

Rugby-based energy storage specialists, Hybrid Power Hire, has attained a significant landmark, in having 30MWh of energy storage on hire six months ahead of its targeted growth plan. The company calculates that it now has the largest rental fleet for energy storage in Europe, in terms of capacity and by the number of assets. Hybrid Power Hire operates re-rent services of energy storage

systems used across the construction, events and utilities sectors working with or, in some cases totally displacing, diesel generation. The hybrid technology used has significant impact, in reducing emissions, carbon footprint and noise, as well as saving costs by reducing fuel consumption. Danny Jones, technical director, said: “The unexpected and

significant increase in demand from the EV charging sector has accelerated growth. The looming introduction of Stage V emissions standards and the announcement that the UK’s red diesel derogation is to go in 2022, has set the conditions for even faster growth in our sector, right across the EU, than could have been anticipated

just two years ago”. In light of

this recent achievement, the company has revised its growth plans to double the number of units added to the fleet each month and, together with sister company Off Grid Energy, is preparing to move to new 30,000 sq ft premises to accommodate its expansion plans.
