CAUSING A STORM!!
Digbits grabs productivity
New from Digbits is the RG range of rotating selector grabs for excavators between 2.5 and 14 tonnes operating weight. Components and materials, such as Hardox steel used in parts of their fabrication, have been chosen carefully to maintain performance and integrity, says the company. The grabs are designed to
enhance the load handling dexterity of any ordinary hydraulic excavator and can be used for sorting and handling timber, brash and tree roots. In demolition, they can help with initial dismantling in a controlled
way, and then sort the waste. Digbits says that, with increasing numbers of mini and midi excavators now being sold with twin auxiliary hydraulics, it has never been easier to fit and use these attachments.

Bobcat has launched two new flail mower attachments for use on its compact excavators. The 30FM and 40FM have working widths of 762mm and 1016mm respectively, and hydraulic flows of 46-74 litres per minute and 53-85 litres per minute. The 30FM is designed for use on the E32 and E35 excavators, and the 40FM is intended for the E45, E50 and E55 models. Both offer the ability to cut trees and branches up to 10cm in diameter. A compact deck allows the attachments to follow
ground contours, maintaining surface contact for efficient cutting, and the flails are reversible, providing bi-directional rotation by switching the hydraulic hoses at the drive motor.
