tracking portal Kubota, has launched a new telematics portal to help operators increase machine efficiency and security. The new ‘Kubota Tracking System’ allows tracking data to be accessed via a PC, laptop or mobile device, meaning that it can be seen anywhere at any time. The new system is launched on the 8990kg KX080-4a2, initially, as this is deemed to be Kubota's flagship model. It is Kubota's intention to make the new system available for other machines in range as soon as possible, however. Users of the new portal can view machine locations via GPS to oversee the movement of each machine in their fleet. 'Geofencing' is also available, which allows users to designate specific areas of use for each machine, with the portal notifying them if a machine leaves the area. The portal also provides alerts, signifying a machine's faults, enabling a fast response and resolution. Increased productivity is achievable thanks to the constant review and analysis of real-time parameters of parts such as machine work
