What
slowdown? If this is supposed to be the time of year for hire and associated manufacture to slow down for the summer, nobody thought to tell the organisers of the Hillhead and SAGE 2022 exhibitions – both of which provided rich pickings for interesting products, new launches and even a few rebooking prospects for next year’s Executive Hire Show. Conversations at each event indicated that the oft’ reported supply chain issues might be easing at last – not as bad as they once were, at least, but this is something we hope to dive into next month. Speaking of things moving on, Dan Jenkins finds that negative attitudes towards Far Eastern access machinery are fading fast, when he speaks with several suppliers and contented users. Elsewhere, this issue is a little shorter than originally intended, due to an unforeseen delay with one of the planned articles. However, we have still managed to cram a fair amount in, including two market reports, a delve into customer service and a pair of supplier profiles – plus all the news that’s fit to print, of course. More besides, so let’s make a start…
