Hardworking site operatives require somewhere to shelter, congregate, eat & drink, shower, change and store their equipment securely. Here’s a round-up of the latest and best options.
AJC Easycabin Three years of development has led to the ultimate EasyCabin range. Designed for the highest
possible power saving & harvesting performance, even in the unpredictable UK weather. The Ecosmart Solar MAX and ZERO cabins offer an ideal solution for companies working to meet the demands of clean air targets. With increased focus on the reduction of carbon footprints and the prioritisation of corporate social responsibility issues, there is a real demand for industries to adopt alternative power whilst maintaining reliability and cost
effectiveness. To that end, the Ecosmart Solar MAX and ZERO cabins provide an opportunity to achieve both. Thanks to a large battery bank and solar panels, the systems are silent for most of the time
and only engage backup power when necessary – the Solar Max with its HVO-enabled backup generator producing low carbon emissions, while the ZERO’s hydrogen fuel cell produces none whatsoever. As such, both cabins have the potential to use no fuel on sunny days or during the summer months.

the ideal choice of site accommodations, enabling layouts that include open plan canteens, separate changing rooms as well as toilets and shower facilities. Pickerings modular buildings are available to hire, buy
or lease-purchase, and they can be installed as single, double or even triple storeys. The Pickerings Prima modular building range offers
excellent heat and sound insulation. Access to the upper floors is provided by steel staircases and landings, and the cabins are available in two standard sizes – 20' x 8' (Prima 8) or 20’ x 8’ (Prima 10).

Genquip Groundhog The new I-Range from Genquip-Groundhog features both static and
mobile units and can accommodate up to 14 people. Twin axle mobile and static units can incorporate full-flush toilets with rain harvesting to add a higher level of sanitary provision and reduce site visits by tankers. Twin toilet units are also available to allow for mixed use whilst on site The I range battery system powers all on board equipment without
the need of the generator. That means boiling water for tea /coffee, warm hand wash, microwave, heating, lighting, 12V refrigeration and USB ports can all be used at same time (without need of changeover switches) silently and efficiently I-Range cabins are powered by an intelligent solar power and
battery system, which means that the backup HVO-optimised Stage V generator only runs to charge the batteries during dark winter days and evenings. The I-Range is
fitted with a Victron Remote Monitoring system that helps operators understand the environmental benefits of the units for each hire. A report can be produced after every hire to demonstrate savings on fuel and generator use.
