Machinery News Adelco launches new CTS System

A

delco has introduced the new Adelco CTS System, an advanced digital laser computer to screen solution. The Adelco CTS is a high precision, high productivity machine, that produces perfect screen plates with no consumables needed. A truly simple process, that is compatible with the conventional method. Key features include:

• High precision: Easy and fast to achieve raster 133LPI and high-quality screen dots by the optical 1,270dpi, while with the optical 2,540dpi, high definition curved lines and perfect FM screen dots can be realised.

• Compatible processes with the conventional method: Data files are

directly read by the CTS and then converted into images which will be transmitted through laser beams onto screens by DMD and lens.

• Excellent laser piercing power: Three laser powers are optional: 15W, 20W and 25W, with a thickness EOM (emulsion over mesh) of 120µm for solvent resistant emulsions and an EOM of 220µm for water resistant emulsion can be achieved for some special screen making such as carbon oil and capillary.

Luke Smith from Adelco said: “Adelco continue to use the highest quality components, concentrating on efficiency, and productivity, while adding in practical and ingenious solutions for superb results.”

CMYUK adds wide format resin ink printing from Epson C

MYUK has added Epson’s range of wide format resin ink printers to its equipment portfolio. The new SureColor SC-R series redefines resin ink-based printing, which up until now has been the domain of HP Latex print technology.

The SureColor SC-R 5000 puts pay to the many issues that have dogged latex large-format printing over recent years. Crucially, it operates at lower temperatures, (below 100°C) eliminating common issues with heat sensitive medias, delivers panel-to-panel colour consistency, and class-leading linear feed accuracy. Also, because this printer uses permanent Epson piezo print heads,

T

there is never any degradation in output quality.

Sue Hayward, CMYUK sales director (equipment), said: “This is an impressive range and market feedback from customers is that they regard this Epson resin printer as having significant advantages over HP Latex. It’s already garnering a great deal of interest, particularly in tandem with our eco materials. Although this is a first for Epson, this manufacturer has been offering an industrial label press running this type of ink for a decade. Epson has engineered a fantastic product that does justice to this eco-friendly technology. The Epson UltraChrome RS inks have

high scratch resistance, dry instantly, and can be laminated immediately. We’re also seeing excellent media flexibility, while the accurate media feed means consistent repeatability and diminished wastage.”

New laser engraving unit added to Nova Chrome’s range

his September, Nova Chrome UK will introduce the new Craft Express Laser Engraving unit. The traditionally sublimation focused firm has decided to widen its equipment offering after being won over by the versatility, compact size and low investment cost of the innovative unit. The Craft Express offers the ability to cut and engrave materials including hardboards, MDF, bamboo, leather, acrylic and to engrave on glass, marble, slate and coated ceramics/ aluminium. This, combined with a large working area

of 500x300mm and working power of 40 watts opens the door to many products unavailable to sublimation alone. The advantages of precision,

permanence and flexibility won’t be lost on those looking for new personalisation offerings – be they for personal keepsakes, or promotional use. Of course, Nova Chrome’s range of sublimation products is still available and keeps growing. This summer saw the company introduce new ChromaLuxe wall tiles and kickstand photo panels. The wall tiles in particular offer a new and exciting method of presenting customer’s images and boast the advantage of being repositionable – offering the ability to keep adding to – and rearranging – their layout.
