M&R’s Cobra sets a new standard T

he Cobra automatic screen printing press from M&R sets the standard in combining quality components, durable craftsmanship and high speed production all in one machine. The Cobra series of presses provide operators with time-saving features needed for quick setups – electric print heads, tool-free squeegee/ floodbar angle adjustments with air locks, pneumatic frame locks, and independent squeegee/ flood speeds with digital displays. The newly-designed flat-indexing system is also digital compatible on most models. Cobra presses are Tri-Loc and Tri-Sync compatible – like all M&R presses – which further minimises setup times, and maximises run times and productivity.

With three different sizes available in 8, 10 and 12-colours in the 1618 model, and four different sizes available in 8, 10, 12 and 14-colours in the 2020 model, there is sure to be a Cobra that meets your needs.

F

ollowing the appointment as the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor for Portugal-based WID Innovations, Graphtec GB has now added the latest WID C Series of dual laser engraving/ cutting systems to its increasingly diverse range of finishing solutions. Available in a choice of four different- sized models (the 500, 700, 900 and 1000), the machines are robustly constructed and of a compact design. The C Series of machines have respective processing areas of 700x500, 1000x700, 1300x900 and 1300x900mm, with variable cutting speeds of up to 90,000 mm/min. They incorporate CO2

encountered. Developed to accommodate the requirements both entry- level and seasoned professional operatives, the systems will process a wide range of disparate materials. These include heavier fabrics used in the printwear and promotional products sector for which conventional cutters/ engravers are less suited, in addition to acrylic, various plastics and glass used for product branding and packaging.

suitable for curing of DTG pre-treatment, and offers greater production capacity with less operator attention while eliminating the flattened, ironed-on appearance of heat pressed images.

It is equipped as standard with features found on the company's larger DTG-capable dryers including: belt-to-heater clearance to accommodate bulky items; a 168cm long X-Series

conveyor belt roller tracking system with Teflon-coated fibreglass belt; and dual digital controls – the first to rapidly attain optimum curing temperature, and the second to safely maintain the ink and garment at that temperature to finalise the curing process. This model also has a newly redesigned air mapping system that pulls fumes and moisture away from the immediate environment while providing air flow to cool the skin of the heating chamber for operator safety.

The heaters of all Vastex dryers carry an

industry-leading 15-year warranty, and feature closely spaced coils that provide high-density, medium-wavelength infrared heat for maximum cure speed without cold spots or under curing associated with conventional units.

Fully expandable, the X1D-54 can accommodate additional heating chambers and belt extensions, allowing capacity/ belt speed to be doubled or tripled as needs grow.
