Focus on Schoolwear TRUTEX
Power Blazer launched containing empowering messages by children, for children
T
rutex has worked with bullied children and
an award-winning childrenʼs charity to create the Power Blazer, a school blazer with a lining covered in childrenʼs handwritten messages of inspiration and encouragement for the young wearer. Recent
research by the YMCA has found that
more than half of children aged 11 to 16 have
Power Blazer
been bullied about the way they look, with 40% targeted at least once a week. The blazer, which is designed by children, for children, came about after Trutex asked UK school children how messages of encouragement and positivity could be shared to combat bullying and improve confidence.
JC001J
The Lancashire based school uniform provider works closely with The Diana Award on its anti- bullying campaign bTRU2u and the designers say it was after a recent project with victims of school bullying that they learned empowerment from within was the way to go. Trutex worked with children who contributed messages of
empowerment and inspiration to feature on the lining of the
school blazer and inspirational
messages flooded
in from children around the UK. As well as offering the blazer in plain black, the most popular colour for blazers, Trutex can also create bespoke linings for schools, even using messages chosen by that school and its pupils.
