New Mimaki TS55 is the next revolution in textile printing

H

ybrid Services, Mimakiʼs exclusive UK and Irish distributor, has announced the launch of the Mimaki TS55-1800; a revolutionary new digital heat transfer sublimation printer that brings high-end features to entry and mid-level markets. These include high-speed, one-pass printing at a high- resolution and ink-density, unattended printing with the new Mini Jumbo Roll and Mimakiʼs Nozzle Check and Recovery System for continuous operation. With the release of the TS55- 1800, Mimaki delivers on making high-end digital textile printing features available to a much broader market. Now, textile professionals can effortlessly scale their operation with an affordable sublimation printer that meets the high quality and fast turnaround times demanded in the dynamic textile and apparel industry. The new model prints at a resolution of 480x600dpi with a high ink density using one-pass printing at 140sq m/h. In addition, the unique Mimaki Advanced Pass System (MAPS4) improves the quality of two-pass printing by

eliminating banding. The TS55-1800 achieves all this with low running costs and the high-productivity and reliability that Mimaki products are known for. One of the key features of the TS55-1800 is the optional use of a new Mini Jumbo Roll unit that can continuously feed 2,500 linear meters of heat transfer paper to the printer. This enables customers to substitute the use of Small Plotter Rolls with Mini Jumbo Rolls, which can save them over 20% in print media cost. Furthermore, Mini Jumbo Rolls of Mimaki Vision Jet-X transfer paper, supplied by Neenah Coldenhove, will be offered as a package deal with the TS55- 1800. The 2,500 m1 Mini Jumbo Rolls are the ideal way to upgrade to high-volume

unattended textile printing. In addition, the printer is fitted with Mimakiʼs unique Nozzle Check and Recovery System and 10 litre ink tanks, which ensure failsafe continuous operation for extended periods, such as unattended overnight printing. Mimaki offers its customers a high return on investment with the TS55-1800 that will be sold at a very competitive price-point.

Vastexʼs F-1000 Flash Cure Unit is now 33% faster than before

V

astex International has introduced a new low cost F-1000 Flash Cure Unit with a 2600-watt/240V, 46x46cm infrared heater that reduces flash cure times by 33%. Mark Vasilantone, president, said: “The upgrade from 1950 to 2600 watts on the 240V unit offers hotter, faster flashing for the same price.”

The high-density medium- wavelength infrared heater features closely spaced coils which eliminate cold spots and under-curing associated with conventional infrared heaters, and carries a 15-year warranty. Built-in heat shields on four sides of the enclosure allow

uniformity and increasing efficiency. The F-1000 unit is also available in a 120V, 1950 watt model for low- to medium-capacity applications. All F-1000 Flash Cure Units are equipped as standard with a head leveler to adjust the heater parallel to the pallet;

Vastex is a CE certified manufacturer. An optional Rotary Table with two vented steel pallets allows the F-1000 unit to double as a low cost dryer. Also optional is an Auto-Flash upgrade (120 or 240V) with HMI controls that rotates the head into place above the pallet with the touch of a foot pedal, and automatically rotates the head away from the pallet after a user- adjustable dwell time has elapsed, to prevent over- flashing and under-flashing of garments.

The company offer flash cure units in sizes to 41x61cm with

heaters to 3500 watts at 240V, and also manufacture screen printing presses in one to 10 colours and one to 10 stations, infrared conveyor dryers, screen exposing units, screen drying cabinets, screen registration systems and complete screen printing shop systems.
