What’s New: Resolute DTG

What’s new and better in 2019? R

esoluteʼs client base has a high percentage of companies that produce more than DTG printed garments.

In order to offer a better range of equipment and meet the demand for new products, in 2019 Resolute will step into the large format arena.

Ricoh Pro Latex The first of Resoluteʼs new products will be the new Ricoh Pro L5130 and L5160 Latex

production roll to roll large format printers. This new

printer is capable of producing external graphics at 44sq m/hr for outdoor use and 25sq m/hr for indoor use in high res at a width of 62in. With its specially designed Greenguard certified latex inks, images are vibrant, hard wearing and last for many years.

Printing onto coloured substrates is also not a problem for the Pro L160, utilising its new white ink technology stunning signage and vehicle graphics can be produced onto suitable metallic and other special effect media. Not forgetting running costs, the two large format systems in testing, are proving to be very economical to run. The sheer speed of them is sure to reduce labour costs, coupled with the added benefit of competitive ink costs the L5130 and L5160 are going to be serious contenders in the large format arena.

Set to be available early in 2019, the team at Resolute is looking forward to these exciting new Ricoh built devices and increasing their foothold in the signage industry.

LED UV 1800z range Talking of signage, the already popular 1800z UV LED printer range has had a face lift for 2019 and a repricing structure. Already used for small format signage on substrates up to 350mm thick and printing cylindrical items when using the easyCyl attachment, this popular UV system is going from strength to strength. Over the last few years Resolute has watched the MVP range grow and develop into the new 1800z range.

Direct Color Systems already manufactures the only ADA compliant digital braille system with a global patent. The

are required to print white ink at high speed and high quality, normally used in DTG systems with a price tag up to six times more. It now has many high-profile multiple unit installations throughout the UK producing thousands of garments for retail sale on a daily basis.

In 2019 Resolute will introduce its own range of hot swap shirt pallets, specially designed for fast change over the new shirt pallets will increase the range of garments that can be printed increasing the productivity of the printer. The arrival of the new Ri 1000 in 2019, Ricohʼs middle market option, still uses Ricoh production print heads and has many of the features included on the Ri 6000. Designed for new and growing DTG companies the price tag is yet again going to be much less than its production capabilities would lead us to believe. Details of the Ri 1000 are available on Resoluteʼs website and will be updated as and when the team receive more information.

Last but in no way least, the Ricoh DTG printers available from Resolute are about to get a new arrival in 2019. The current Ri 6000 high end DTG printer, capable of printing a garment in 27 seconds has been a massive success since it was introduced into the UK market mid 2018. Punching well above its price point, the Ri 6000 has quickly been accepted as the only DTG printer of its size to use the Ricoh stainless steel industrial print heads. These print heads give the Ri 6000 massive jetting capabilities that

increased the product range that can be printed. When printing in flat or raised texture, not only has the adhesion of these new inks increased, they are now even more flexible with greater UV stability outdoors. The flexibility is best witnessed when printing onto difficult substrates like, leather jackets, high-vis safety wear, wrist bands, golf balls, in fact the list of products the 1800z can print onto is literally as endless as your imagination. The new pricing structure will be in place from January, 1 this will be the first time the 1800z range has been available for under £20k in the UK.
