high-quality output even when printing at the most productive speed settingsʼ. VG series printer/cutters were also cited for producing ʻthe widest gamut of bright, saturated colours, as well as smooth skin tones with very good highlight details and contrastʼ. In addition, the tests showed that the TrueVIS VG yielded ʻextremely accurate dimensional stability and colour consistencyʼ. Rolandʼs TrueVIS series printer/cutters earned their second BLI Award in the Outstanding High Production CMYK Eco-Solvent/Latex 54”/64” Printer (Dual CMYK) category. The BLI analysts reported: “At the high-speed print quality setting, this 64-inch unit excelled at producing bright halftone images with very good details and saturation, as well as neutral greys and smooth skin tones while the highest quality print setting was significantly faster than that of the next fastest device. Pair that with the accurate Pantone colour-matching capabilities, as well as above-average print speeds, and this large-format device will undoubtedly satisfy the strictest quality and colour demands of any print shop.” Keypoint Intelligenceʼs Buyers Lab (BLI) is the worldʼs leading independent provider of testing and analysis for the document imaging industry.

co uniform provider David Luke will take further steps to strengthen its sustainability program with a renewed partnership with Eco Schools in 2019. The collaboration will see David Luke take ownership of Eco Schoolʼs new marine topic. Ambitions for the project include working with the schoolwear brandʼs collective of youth environmentalists known as ʼ16 Under 16′ to produce a series of school resources with a plastic pollution and marine focus including lesson plans and engaging assembly formats.
Eco Schools will also leverage the ideas and the vision of a 16 Under 16 Marine Working Group to inform their own in- school activity during the year. Kathryn Shuttleworth, David Lukeʼs MD, said: “We see our work with Eco Schools as a vital and unique opportunity to challenge ourselves as a business to take action on a subject matter that young people feel passionately about. As a committed user of recycled polyester in our range, we see great synergy in harnessing the strength of feeling towards plastic pollution to do good from ground level upwards.”
