P&P LIVE! 2019 Inspiring you with new innovations

Every year sees plenty of new equipment and products receive their UK debut at Printwear & Promotion LIVE! At this year’s 30th anniversary show there will be a whole array of new pieces of equipment from every area of garment decoration. Some of these inspiring innovations are previewed over the next two pages.

Embroidery

Every year embroidery machine manufacturers introduce faster, leaner, increased memory machines to improve efficiency and downtime. This year the likes of SWF, ZSK, Merlin and Happy have done just that.

Making up the focal point of Your Embroidery Services Ltdʼs stand is the new SWF KS Super Compact 8 head industrial embroidery machine. This machine has been designed with a standard depth of 78cm, rather than its original depth of 1.6m making it almost a metre more compact than the previous model. It comes as standard with advanced features such as an automatic oiling system, 15in colour touch screen, new high- speed colour change and pantograph servo motors. ZSK is bringing two new models to the exhibition in January – the Sprint 7 and Sprint 7XL. All Sprint 7 models

are equipped with 18 needles and servo drive systems. The drive system on the Sprint 7XL hangs from the top, offering extended space to embroider large products like suitcases and golf bags. These new models can be found on ZSKʼs UK distributor Stocksʼ stand. GS UK will be exhibiting the

ground-breaking product on its stand throughout the three-day exhibition. The unit instantly colours a single piece of white thread creating stunning, unique designs.

Screen printing Year on year not much changes in the world of screen printing, but this year there are a handful of new products that will certainly be of interest to those in this market.

The Diamondback E The Sprint 7XL

latest additions to the Merlin Pro industrial embroidery range – the GS1506 and GS1504. The GS1506 is a six head machine, while the GS1504 is a four head machine. Both models come with 15 needles, stitching speeds of 1,000spm and large touch screens to access the Merlin Controller Software. They offer an alternative choice to the existing GS1206 and GS1204 12 needle machines. Midwest Machinery, Happyʼs exclusive UK distributor, will be demonstrating the HCR3-1504x Stretch for the first time in the UK. This machine has been created for those who need high production capability and a large sewing field. It includes Happyʼs latest multi-head technology such as servo drive for faster, quieter sewing, more robust construction for greater durability and more consistent sewing quality on even the most challenging surfaces. One final embroidery

innovation, which is sure to draw in the crowds, is the first UK showing of Coloreel, the instant thread colouring unit. AJS Embroidery Services will be running live demonstrations of this

Screen Print World will be exhibiting the new Diamondback E from M&R. Next year the Diamondback series of screen printing presses will be changed from pneumatic print heads to electric print heads. This improves the overall print stroke control leading to better and more consistent ink deposit and overall print quality.

New exhibitor H.G Kippax will be bringing along two new products – the Inpro screen

cleaning unit and a UV LED exposure unit. Inpro has

created an all-in-one system which makes easy work of preparing a used screen ready to use again. Features of the new UV LED

UV LED exposure unit

exposure unit include increased light lifespan, 80% reduction in power usage, space saving designs, customisable inputs with recall memory and an easy use touch screen. EXILE Technologies will be running live demonstrations on both the FREEStyler DTS and SPYDER II computer to screen systems, including the new VLUX and VLUX-XL vertical screen exposure cabinets.

The Coloreel unit

These cabinets are the ideal fast screen exposure solution to complement the SPYDER II. Their front door screen loading and unloading system is quick and simple and the modern LCD touch screen user interface has 15 fully programmable user defined memory presets for storing different mesh count and emulsion type setups.
