Roland extends deadline for Hero Awards L
Roland Hero Awards has been extended until December 31. The Roland Hero Awards celebrate the people and ideas that make the vibrant, supportive and exciting Roland community what it is. The campaign shines a spotlight on the
entrepreneurship, creativity and passion that in turn drive the innovations of Roland. Customers from across EMEA have been sharing their stories, and in return have been listed on the Roland Hero online roll of honour, with the overall winner to be rewarded with an unforgettable holiday.
Gillian Montanaro, head of marketing EMEA at Roland DG, said: “We've been so impressed and inspired by the Roland customers who already got involved that we simply wanted to hear more. We are excited to tell the world about them and their stories, and we look forward to crowning the overall winner of the Roland

Customers already nominated Roland Heroes span multiple markets, including signage and display. The search has uncovered Eastprint, a German advertising business that puts its trust in the Roland systems, running five Roland SOLJET printers.
Roland Heroes in the sports industry have also shared their stories. Lieuwe Boards is a Dutch kite surfboard specialist that uses Roland VersaSTUDIO BN-20 technology to print custom graphics strong enough to withstand serious waves. In the Canary Islands, In Your Face has developed a successful graphics business for the sailing market, relying on Rolandʼs integrated print and cut technology from the very beginning. Also in Spain is Taymory, a company that designed a swimwear collection with synchronised swimming champion Ona Carbonell, using a Roland Texart RT-640. The Roland Hero website features many more companies all doing exceptional things with their Roland systems.

ore than 96% of the planned 160,000sq m floor space for drupa 2020 has already been booked by companies from more than 40 countries.
Werner Matthias Dornscheidt, president and CEO of Messe Düsseldorf, said: "The companies in the print industry know that every four years they find the perfect platform to highlight innovation. They count on the world's leading trade fair to launch new products and engage with clients and prospects effectively. PrintFactory appointments amplify firmʼs global ambition

rintFactory is expanding its global reach with the redeployment of senior staff to support the fast growing technology firmʼs focus on Europe and the U.S. Former head of sales EMEA, Simon Landau, is taking a lead in the Americas, while Toby Burnett is joining the business to continue Mr Landauʼs efforts in securing a wider network of trusted R&D and distributor functions across EMEA. Mr Burnett, the once managing director of GMG UKʼs division, has already secured new partners in Spain (Digi HiRes) and France (C-Link) and is seeking to establish a similarly strong presence in Germany, Switzerland and the Nordics. Meanwhile, as PrintFactoryʼs now director of sales Americas, Mr Landau will remain in the States to provide additional support to the existing marketplace.
