look older by wearing bikinis and crop tops. To keep the trend nothing more than a bit of harmless fun and to counter the critics that suggest mini me dressing is a gimmick Andrea suggests looking for styles that are timeless and can be worn for years to come.

“Brands such as Mantis World, Bella+Canvas, SOLʼS, Just Hoods by AWDis and SF (Skinnifit) offer matching adults, kids and baby styles, as well as styles that are designed as a family range. The styles are similarly aligned, however there is a different sizing involved for kids. With more and more options available, finding co-ordinating, long-lasting outfits is easy,” she adds. The mini me market looks set to grow in 2019 due to the trend being very much in vogue. nisex colours continue to grow in terms of popularity and, though white is still the out-and-out dominant colour, weʼre seeing an ever increasing demand for black and heather grey – very much as it is in the adults sector. With design and quality now more important than ever, and again echoing whatʼs what in the bigger folk sector, weʼre seeing a growth in demand for streetwear influenced garments; think hoodies, sweatshirts and sweatpants in soft and cosy brushed fabrics which additionally offer detailing such as contrast drawcords and fold-back hems to give that in-demand extra USP. Thereʼs also been a significant growth in demand for organic cotton as more and more customers recognise the eco and skin-friendly benefits that organic cotton has over conventional.

Baby denim is a new concept to the babywear market and customers, increasingly keen to reflect whatʼs happening in the style conscious retail sector, have been very forthcoming in their decoration or embellishment plans as witnessed at Printwear & Promotion LIVE! earlier in the year. This is all about well-thought-out modern babywear thatʼs well proven in decoration terms which, as the team know only so well from their customer presentations and feedback, is guaranteed to raise a smile from decorators, brands, parents and perhaps even the littlest ones themselves.

Babywear is certainly showing strong and high-level growth as more customers recognise the potential not only due to the increase in e-tailing and own-brand retailing as facilitated by the internet, but also as a complimentary offer to adultʼs ranges.
