This was a new question that we added for 2019, as we feel it is important to know where our visitors seek out information about new products and the results are very interesting. Directly from the distributors and trade shows ranked joint top of the poll, with 65% of visitors saying that each of these aspects was where they sought out their new product information. 46% of visitors stated that they sourced their new product information from brand websites, while 48% said they sourced it from trade magazines. Interestingly word of mouth plays strongly here, with 31% saying they source their new product information on the grape vine.
Q How likely are you to attend the show next year?
Another question that we asked our visitors is whether they are likely to attend the show next year. This is always a good barometer of how much our visitors have enjoyed themselves, because if they choose to come back itʼs a positive sign! Itʼs reassuring for us to see that over 80% of this yearʼs respondents said they are either very likely to attend next year or will definitely make the trip to the NEC. Again these results are comparable to previous years, as shown in the below graph.

As revealed by another question, word of mouth plays heavily in this industry. It is
encouraging to see that 53% of
respondents would definitely
recommend the exhibition to their compatriots, while 36% said they would be very likely to recommend it. Not one person said they would not recommend the exhibition, which is fantastic news!
