A UK first at PenCarrie! T
he UK-exclusive event with Kornit Digital and Amaya Sales UK welcomed guests to discover the game-changing print solution for polyester. According to Julian Wright, sales director at Amaya Sales UK, the Poly Pro has achieved the optimum in DTG printing. As the fashion and retail market now demands the need to print on polyester, Kornit has achieved the previously impossible by releasing a printer that prints directly onto polyester. Also on show during the three days was the Kornit Avalanche HD6, the leading printer for high-production, low-cost digital print. Tech experts from Kornit and Amaya wowed guests with print demonstrations on both printers, using garments from Next Level, Tee Jays and Just Cool by AWDis. The result was a stunning photorealistic print that guests took home in their goodie bags.
Julian said the aim of the day was to take the Kornit systems directly to the customer. The event gave garment decorators the opportunity to ask questions about these printers and to print their own files.
“The beauty of the day was that attendees could cover these systems in as much detail as they wanted and see how they could fit into their own business model. Some customers attended specifically to put the Poly Pro through its paces. The reaction to which was fantastic. In that respect, the three days were a great success,” he added. Never seen before in the UK, Tuesday, July 2 saw the first ever demonstration of the ground- breaking Kornit Avalanche Poly Pro at PenCarrie’s HQ in Devon.

decorated apparelʼ, covering consumer wants, trends in the digital print market, the link between the textile market and decorated apparel, the best Kornit machine for the job and the rise in personalisation of products. While over in The Academy, PenCarrieʼs very own training and demonstration centre, academy co-ordinator, Lewis Wotton and Amayaʼs Adam Wyles showcased entry-to-mid level machines. Machines on show included Melco EMT-16 Plus (embroidery), Texjet Echo 2 (DTG printer), OKI PRO8432WT A3 Printers (laser transfer), OkiPRO7411WT A4 Printer (Laser Transfer) and Hotronix Fusion IQ Heat Presses. Adam took visitors through live demos and detailed explanations on how to print on different fabrics, as well as the best embroidery techniques, transfers and vinyls to ensure success.
As well as enjoying demonstrations, talks and hospitality, visitors were invited to explore behind the scenes at PenCarrie with a guided warehouse tour led by warehouse supervisor, Wayne Gooding.
