Focus on Software Solutions
Opening our focus on all things software is CADlink with an insightful look at the number of software packages on offer for garment and promotional product decorators.
CADlink Enhance colour vibrancy and simplify production workflow
Dye sublimation
The most common issues facing dye sublimation producers are the ability to achieve true colour accuracy and simplified file preparation for printing on a wide variety of materials. Most printers are shipped only with a basic Windows-driver for colour management and users are also forced to use third-party applications not designed specifically for dye sublimation job preparation.
Digital Factory v10 Sublimation Edition is an all-inclusive sublimation software package that provides exceptional colour accuracy and vibrancy across a variety of ink sets, transfer papers and printers. It includes professionally created colour profiles that enable the highest quality print production right out of the box. Also included is a series of simple colour adjustment tools that provide operators a way in which to make colour adjustments quickly and easily as required.
Ideal for shops of all sizes, it has been designed for simplicity without limiting functionality. The software eliminates the need for using other design applications to prepare print jobs by including all commonly used tools such as step and repeat, custom print template creation, image editing tools, colour knock out tools that enhance print quality while saving ink costs and much more.
Toner transfer
Digital Factory v10 Oki Edition is designed specifically for Oki transfer-based personalisation/ customisation producers. Whether or not you are printing on garments, soft or hard surfaces, this unique software includes dozens of features that provide the most colour accurate, vibrant colours and simplify production workflow. Professionally created custom printer drivers and colour profiles
Optimised printer drivers maximise the print speed and colours of your Oki printer. Automated white toner handling
Unique, transparency-based white toner management provides outstanding results when printing on dark materials while saving toner usage and costs at the same time. No-ink feature
Automated no-ink feature (also known as rasterisation) eliminates the need for complex file preparation and applies rasterised customisable pattern options to graphics. Reduces toner consumption, improves colour fastness and softens final print on garments. Achieve perfect colour plane registration Complete X/Y shift controls eliminate colour plane mis-registration caused by mechanical alignment issues. Adjust registration by colour as required. Also includes Trapping features (choke/ spread) by colour for quick and easy adjustments by job. Enhance profitability using detailed job costing Keep costs inline and profits where they should be using a built-in, highly accurate job costing interface.
Laser engraving
Specialised engraving software is the answer to maximising profitability. Having the ability to produce wow-factor items elevates your personalisation/ customisation business in this highly competitive marketplace.
EngraveLab Laser software includes application-specific design and production tools not found in standard design applications or other limited functionality engraving software products.

CADlink's specialised engraving software is the answer to maximising profitability
The latest version of this laser software includes a host of new features for both raster engraving as well as vector cutting. Leading the way is the photo-to-laser production feature that simplifies the creation of incredibly detailed photo engraving. Convert photographs into beautiful, finely detailed laser engraved output on a variety of materials. No need to spend time on complex image preparation in other design applications, EngraveLab’s photo conversion tools get this done in minutes. Also included within the software is the ability to create highly sought-after 3D designs. Featuring an interactive 3D previewer, users are able to render grey scale images and then adjust and preview depth of all elements within the design creating spectacular 3D produced items.
EngraveLab software is available in a variety of packages for both laser (including support of Leetro as well as Ruida controller- based devices) and spindle-based engraving supporting most widely used engraving devices available today.
Screen printing
Supporting the widest range of printers, FilmMaker software provides screen printers with an incredibly powerful tool to create inkjet screen print films. FilmMaker provides precision screening as well as perfect density levels producing top quality screen print films using most standard inkjet printer manufacturer inks as well as third-party ink sets on a wide variety of film media. It includes the following key features: Printer, queue and ink density wizard. Configure the software quickly and easily regardless of which ink set or film are being used. Achieve optimum density with each print. Advanced screening algorithms which provide precise, detailed artwork reproduction even in mid-tone and highly detailed artwork areas that is free of any repeating patterns. In-RIP separations provides ability to separate artwork directly within FilmMaker. No need to use third-party applications. Multiple black ink support. Use factory default printer black ink channels and inks or customise the black ink configuration based on any third-party ink set. Improves print performance and saves ink costs as well.
