Polyprint releases a new 2-in-1 ‘Fit & Flat’ snap-on face mask platen

P

olyprint has created a new addition to its product portfolio – the 2-in-1 ‘Fit & Flat’ Snap-On, face mask platen.

Garment decorators can now broaden their printing portfolio with personalised face masks. Polyprint’s 2-in-1 face mask platen allows TexJet users to print on both fit and flat type masks. DTG printers can now use one main platen with two different set-up options: The Fit type for triangular masks and the Flat type for flat masks. It’s, also, simple to swap from fit to flat upon their production needs. George Benglopoulos, CEO of Polyprint, said: “It’s snap-on design allows easy placement and quick runs. Created due to popular customer demand, Polyprint aims to improve the DTG printing market by pushing forward with new products that help DTG businesses stay at the top of their game.” The new face mask platen is compatible with the

TexJet echo2, shortee2 and echo. Users will be required to perform a firmware upgrade, as well as a software update in order to obtain the new CADlink face mask templates.

Performance boost of Trotec’s Speedy laser machines

rotec’s laser engravers Speedy 100 and Speedy 300 have been further developed to make laser users’ work simpler, faster and more profitable. The newly developed Ceramicore laser source for Speedy 100 and Speedy 300 enables laser engraving of finest structures, lines and characters thanks to a very small beam diameter. In addition a homogenous engraving appearance over the complete working area is guaranteed. This technology was already standard for higher laser power and is now available also for 30 watts. The patented laser source concept represents reliability, high engraving quality and longevity. The resonator body where the laser radiation is generated is made of 100% ceramic. OptiMotion – now also available for Speedy 100 and Speedy 300 – automatically searches for optimal speed parameters. In other words, the operator only needs to determine the power and speed required to cut through the material or to vector engrave – regardless of the cutting geometry. When processing the job, OptiMotion adjusts the speed and acceleration in real time depending on the geometry. For the operator, valuable time can be saved in laser file preparation. In principle, all Trotec laser machines are CE-compliant and thus meet the essential safety and health requirements of the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. In addition Trotec develops machine-specific safety and protection devices, which make these lasers one of the safest in their class all over the world.

The Speedy 100 has been improved

The key switch and emergency button on the new Speedy 100 and Speedy 300 moved now next to the keypad, so that the laser process can be stopped immediately in dangerous situations. Moreover a new uniform keypad was implemented with an intuitive arrangement of the symbols including haptic elements for blind operation.

The newly integrated LED lighting provides a uniform illumination of the working area. This improves comfort for the user and also allows quicker setting of engraving and cutting jobs.
