The Dye Sub Column So how does dye sublimation work?


The gas molecules from the dye bond with the polyester molecules in the fabric or the specially coated surface of hard materials. This results in a permanent, vivid, and high-quality print.


Because the dye becomes part of the material itself, the image is embedded into the fabric rather than sitting on top like with screen printing or vinyl.
