l On May 17, Geiger UK hosted Geiger Green Live at the Kia Oval in London – the UK’s first and to-date biggest event dedicated to promotion sustainable and eco marketing. Some of Geiger’s top suppliers from across the world gathered under one roof to showcase their latest promotional product ranges and sustainability initiatives. l EcoVadis has awarded PF Concept a Gold rating, placing the company in the top 5% of businesses in the market for their performance in the field of corporate social responsibility and sustainable business operations. l In order to serve its North American clients, PrintFactory will open up an office in Atlanta, Georgia, to expand its global network. The announcement comes at a time when the company’s global installed base has exceeded 10,000 users, representing the largest expansion in the company’s history. l Soyang Europe has acquired Josero. By joining forces the two companies will cement their positions within the print industry and enhance their offerings to the UK market. Soyang Europe is a manufacturer and distributor of digitally printed wide format and superwide format media and surface coverings, while Josero is a supplier of hardware. l Nazdar celebrated the 100th anniversary of its foundation with the official launch of a refreshed brand identity. The new look reflects the company’s celebratory milestone and its commitment to innovation and growth as it embarks on the next 100 years. l EasyCut’s market-acclaimed vinyl cutter software has been fully tested and can now be used with Roland CAMM-1 GR and GR2 Series large format vinyl cutters. For Roland users, this provides the assurance that the latest version of software will seamlessly integrate with their vinyl cutting plotters. l SA International has announced the launch of Flexi 22, a fully-updated and more powerful version of its highly-successful industry-acclaimed sign making software. The new solution is engineered to further increase productivity and workflow efficiencies for users. l The Independent Print Industry Association has seen a rebound in business for the sector following record attendance at the Spring Networking Lunch held on May 20. More than 100 print industry representatives, agencies, suppliers, printers and print buyers attended the lunch, setting a very high benchmark for future events.

Papergraphics becomes a Roland DG exclusive dealer

oland DG has announced the appointment of Papergraphics to its exclusive dealer channel. Papergraphics is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of large format inkjet print media, printers and services for the display graphics and CAD markets. The team has undergone extensive training to enter the elite group of Roland DG approved dealers and is now certified to sell some of Roland’s signature product lines. Papergraphics will initially start by selling the new third generation of TrueVIS printer/cutter machines, including the recently launched VG3-640/540 and the SG3-540/300, aimed at print service providers in the sign and graphics and personalisation markets. It will also sell the VersaSTUDIO BN-20 range of desktop inkjet printers, including the BN-20A. The BN-20A is perfect for industry professionals looking for a compact, all-around print and cut device. With this partnership, Roland DG is looking to expand innovative practices in the UK. MyWorkwear supports dementia fight T
elford-based MyWorkwear has pledged to help fight dementia by making Race Against Dementia its
nominated charity.
The workwear specialist has supported businesses across the UK with its workwear and uniforms for nearly 50 years. However, following the passing of its founder Mike Worthington to dementia with Lewy bodies last year, the team decided it was time they nominated a dementia charity to support. James Worthington, managing director of MyWorkwear, said: “With the first anniversary of my father’s death falling during Dementia Action Week, we felt this was an ideal time to announce our intentions to support Race Against Dementia and help in the fight against this horrific disease. “Having grown from the small manufacturing company my father started in 1976, it is humbling to be able to now
support this charity and help in finding a cure for the disease that took him from his loving family. We hope that with all the fundraising for research into the disease, there will be one day in the future when other families won’t have to face the heartbreak of seeing their loved one’s sense of reality and dignity stolen from them.”
