Supplier Profile: Resolute
Setting DTF standards F
rom launching groundbreaking hardware and expanding its ink range to opening Europe’s first dedicated DTF R&D centre, Resolute is not just keeping pace, it’s setting it.
Gold standard inks
One significant move in early 2025 was relocating the manufacture of its Premium DTF inks to the UK. Previously imported from Asia, the inks are now produced domestically under an exclusive formulation owned by Resolute. This enables tighter quality control, consistent supply, and faster delivery, crucial for businesses relying on colour accuracy and performance. These inks carry the Oeko-Tex certification for textile safety and, since February, boast the HAPS (Hazardous Air Pollutants Free) certification. For eco-conscious customers and businesses mindful of compliance, these credentials mark Resolute Premium DTF inks as the gold standard in the market.
Through a unique DTF film delivery system and bespoke printer software, the V8 Ultra allows up to 200% white ink coverage without bleeding, creating a fully opaque base layer that eliminates visible striping. The specially formulated adhesive powder also prevents dye migration from underlying fabrics. The R-Jet PRO DTF V8 Ultra is the only DTF system on the market that fully resolves these issues.

CraftyJet: Professional DTF at home Launched at Printwear & Promotion LIVE!, the CraftyJet is designed specifically for the craft and home user market. The machine packs features typically found in much larger and more expensive systems. Its popularity has been staggering, a testament to the growing demand for affordable, high-quality DTF solutions at all levels.

Expanding colour gamut With the launch of the R-Jet PRO DTF V4-HG, Resolute expanded its ink set to include red, green, blue and orange. This new eight-colour configuration opens doors for higher Pantone accuracy and incredible vibrancy in printed results. Thanks to the advanced capabilities of the Resolute RIP software, spot colour allocation and ink management are fully automated, making the process as easy as working with standard CMYK while delivering far more nuanced results.
Industry-first solutions Another headline development is the introduction of the R-Jet PRO DTF V8 Ultra, tackling one of the most persistent challenges in textile printing: striping and dye migration on performance fabrics.

In a year marked by technological breakthroughs and strategic advances, Resolute has redefined the landscape of DTF printing.
Testing beyond the basics While some companies cut corners in the rush to market, Resolute has doubled down on rigorous testing and product integrity. The R&D centre performs far more than simple wash tests. Using high-end analytical equipment, the team conducts stress tests on hardware, ink tack assessments, dot gain evaluations, and complex profiling procedures.
Counterfeit DTF products are becoming an increasing problem, with a recent incident involving an ink falsely sold as Resolute’s, yet manufactured in Spain. These knock- offs, often sold by opportunistic resellers, pose serious risks to equipment and print consistency. By investing in state-of-the- art testing and protecting its formulations, Resolute helps shield customers from the hidden costs of imitation.
Rise of faux embroidery Faux embroidery is gaining traction as an efficient, versatile alternative to traditional stitching, especially where embroidery simply doesn’t work. With a softer finish, unlimited colour options, and quick application via heat press, many school uniform producers are making the switch. Resolute is pushing this trend further with a project focused on 3D faux embroidery, using elasticated UV inks and custom media to simulate embroidery’s raised texture. Currently in the testing phase, it could be a game-changer in textile embellishment.

New R&D powerhouse in Europe Perhaps the most transformative move by Resolute this year was the opening of Europe’s first dedicated Research & Development centre for DTF technology. Located just opposite the company’s headquarters in Chesterfield, the facility is a hub for innovation, collaboration, and confidentiality. This secure environment (special clearance is required for entry) allows global partners to work alongside the expert team on exclusive product development.

Whether you’re a high-volume garment producer or a home-based creative, Resolute’s expanding ecosystem of products and support offers not just performance, but peace of mind. With a track record of leading over following, Resolute is poised to remain at the forefront of DTF innovation for years to come.
