With Movie Park Germany’s new Multi Dimension Coaster on track to open this this summer, creative head - director brand development – Manuel Prossotowicz, tells Park World editor Becci Knowles, how it combines two of the most desired and popular attraction types with families: a coaster without inversions and a dark ride.
Becci Knowles: How long has the ride been in development for?
All in all, the new coaster has been in development for about two years now. The conception phase ran up to a year and a half before construction finally began in autumn 2020. We also conducted extensive surveys with our target group to analyze their wishes for a new attraction. The market study alone took more than 6 months, including preparation and analysis.
Talk me through the process from concept to completion - How closely did you work with the manufacturers/suppliers involved? Did you know what you wanted from the start?

Each manufacturer did a very good job here and delivered great ideas. Also in this process, many new and complementary ideas matured, which we then also elaborated on in the later development process. When we had finalised the ride layout with INTAMIN as a manufacturer, we could start with the detailed design phase of the ride. Here, we were supported by our long-term partner, the Leisure Expert Group from
